Big Crooked Lake and Crooked Lake are actually one large lake located in southwestern Van Buren County, Michigan, adjacent to Round Lake and Little Crooked Lake. The lakes are part of the Sister Lakes. Big Crooked Lake is 110 Acres and Crooked Lake is 57 Acres. Both Lakes are All Sport and approximately 48 feet deep at its deepest point. A public access site to Crooked Lake includes a gravel ramp with limited parking is located on the east side of the lake, off M-152. Fishermen can expect to catch a variety of fish including Largemouth Bass, Bluegill, Sunfish and Yellow Perch. All three Crooked Lakes have a lake association called The Crooked Lakes Lake Association Big Crooked Lake and Crooked Lake are southeast of Round Lake and northeast of Little Crooked Lake in Van Buren County. There is a variety of homes for sale in this area, everything from waterfront beach homes to family friendly homes.This area is popular with homeowners from Chicago and South Bend for both vacationing and second home purchases. Crooked Lakes are less than 10 miles from Dowagiac, 90 minutes from Chicago and 30 minutes to Lake Michigan beaches.
