Hopkins, Michigan is located in northeastern Allegan County Michigan and is both a village and township. The area covers around 36 square miles and is mostly a farm community. Hopkins has lots of wildlife and fishing. Shagnasty Lake is a 40 acre lake and East Lake is a 50 acre lake both within Hopkins. The community has two great parks; North Park located on the side of Bear Creek off Jefferson Street. The park has a playground , ball fields and picnic pavilion. There is also a Downton Park that has open spaces and picnic tables on Main street.
