Cannabis is known by many names marijuana: Pot, Weed, Maryjane to name a few. Cannabis is referred to as a psychoactive drug and has both medical, recreational and spiritual uses. Cannabis can be smoked, vaporized, baked or cooked in food and used in extract form. The cannabis plant has over 483 known compounds; the major psychoactive one is tetrahydrocannabinol known as (THC). There are around 65 cannabinoids the one best known is cannabidiol referred to as (CBD).
Individuals have different mental and physical effects to cannabis : euphoria, altered state of mind, altered state sense of time, difficulty concentrating, impaired short-term memory, impaired body movement and an increase in appetite. Individuals feel the effects within minutes if smoked or vaporized and around 30 minutes if eaten in food. The effect can last up to 6 hours depending on how much you ingest.
