Tiscornia Beach Park – St. Joseph, MI

Updated: Aug 19

On the north side of the St Joseph River in St Joseph, Michigan is a great little park called Tiscornia Beach Park. Stroll out 1800 feet on the North Pier to see the lights. It is a little bit hard to get to; you have to go through the residential district north of the St. Joseph River. This beach has direct access to the North Pier and St Joseph historic lighthouse. This beach does not have a lifeguard, swim-at-your-own-risk”. This does not seem to bother the locals; the beach is used a lot. The park does not have a playground but there are public restrooms near the entrance of the beach. The picnic shelter off the beach near the south side of the parking lot has tables to enjoy a picnic lunch. The Coast Guard Station and West Basin Marina are just down the road. Amenities includes:

  • Parking fee

  • Food

  • Restrooms

  • Picnic area

  • Sidewalk access to beach

  • View of lighthouse

  • Pavilion

  • Changing rooms

  • Access to North Pier lights
