On East Main Street in Benton Harbor, Michigan sits the renovated hotel called The Vincent Place. The history of this historic hotel, then called Hotel Vincent is a long one. It was built in the late 1920’s as an 8 story luxury tourist hotel and was a favorite hideout/ vacation destination of Al Capone and his cronies. The Herald Palladium ran stories about how he would rent out entire floors in the hotel. There is a story that is told about him throwing a party the day before he went to jail in the early 1930’s. Other famous guests include former Governors, Hollywood Starlets and quite a few Sports Stars. The hotel closed down in the 1970’s and has been renovated into a multi-use building with offices, retail spaces and residential units. The renovated building has a concierge service, private gated parking lot and is within walking distance to restaurants and businesses. The property has easy access to I-94 and sits in Benton Harbor Arts District.
