The first thing to understand is the tasting room will not serve you if you appear to be drunk. We always suggest that you have a designated driver.
You will most likely be greeted by a host or hostess who will set you up with your glasses and will explain how their wine tasting is handled. Some will give you tasting notes to review.
The tasting normally starts with white wine first then red wines with dessert wines last.
You need to remember to sip the wine and see if you can like the wine. Never chug a glass of wine.
Remember if you like a wine ask if they sell it in stores or will you need to purchase a bottle while you're there.
If you like wine, going to different vineyards helps you build a great wine collection.
